Hello, From Texas!

Jadyn and I flew to Texas on Saturday. We're spending a few days with my parents. We're having a good time. It's so nice to be away and just relax.

I always feel that it is such a blessing to be able to spend time with my parents when we come here or they come to MN for a visit. Our time with them is a joy.

My sister, my brother, and their families came for a visit on Sunday, and also Alan's dad came for a short visit yesterday. It was so nice to see them.

My other sister is coming for a visit today and bringing her boys. They are 6 years old, and twins. Jadyn can't wait to play with them. I'm sure they will have a great time together. The weather here has been very windy, but today is supposed to be quite warm. They will have so much fun playing outdoors.

Jadyn has been a handful since we've been here. My goodness. Part of the time it seems she's morphed into some child I do not know. :) When she's in my parents' presence, I think she's dropped about a year of age. Why do kids sometimes act so different when they are with grandparents? I think they feel they can get away with so much more.

My mom says that Jadyn must have "grandma and grandpa's house syndrome". Oh well, this too shall pass. She'll get back to normal once we are home. Overall, I'm just so happy we could come for this visit.

When we arrived here on Saturday, our luggage did not. That always seems like the icing on the cake, after a long journey. Actually, that's only the 2nd time I remember that happening in all of these years. We received our bag the next day. It makes me a little nervous to not have my "stuff". Luckily, my mom had a new toothbrush for me and comfy pajamas to borrow. Jadyn slept in her clothes that first night.

We will be traveling back to MN tomorrow. Hopefully our luggage will be too. Can't wait to see our family at home.

How nice that you got to spend some time with your family! Sounds like you are having a great time.

My kids drive me nuts when they act silly in front of family. LOL
Have a safe trip home!!
Take care,
Laura
