It's Finally Time

I've been doing the final count down here at my place.  I've been checking things off my list and getting ready for the "big day".
My surgery is tomorrow and I am so glad it's finally here.  This waiting around has been no fun all.  OH the nervousness and crabbiness that comes along with it.  I have been a little uptight for the last several days.  Not every moment, but most of the moments that I was not busy.  LOL.

I didn't know I was crabby until Jadyn told me.  I gave her an impatient sounding answer to one of the "many questions that 5 year olds ask every single day".  I immediately apologized and said, "I'm sorry Jadyn, Mommy is just so........"  She filled in the blank for me and said, "Crabby?"  I laughed and told her she was right.  So that's it. Mommy is crabby.

My poor family.  They've had to live here and deal with my crabbiness.  I wonder if they'll be glad to see me finally go. I think we'll all enjoy the relief.

I've never really had major surgery, and so I've been a bundle of nerves.  It's helped so much to talk to friends who've had a hysterectomy or another type of surgery.  They've all assured me that I'll be fine.  I told a couple of them that I want the drugs NOW.  Ha ha.... Just kidding....sort of.

I have tried to stay busy during the past week.  I ran errands, I painted a room in our house, I cleaned  a lot, I had a gathering of friends over, I ran more errands.  I cleaned even more.  If it's not nailed down, I've probably put it through the washer.  Knowing that I won't be able to do any type of housework other than the light stuff has me on a cleaning frenzy.

I do ask for your good thoughts and prayers for tomorrow and in the coming days.  Thank you so much.  I appreciate every single one.

Here is a silly picture of Jadyn.  She had the background from a sheet of stickers on her face.  :)
Here she is, having some fun with bubbles.

Been thinking of you knowing your day was approaching. I'll be lifting you up in prayer. Praying your anixous heart will be at peace and for guidance and wisdom for your doctors. Most of all for a successful surgery and God's healing hands wrapped around you.

Jadyn is such a cutie! She and Hannah would get along well together.

God's Blessings,
Kim

I just said a prayer for you today as I read your post. My good friend "Dory" just had a hysterectomy just over three weeks ago... she is so excited to be driving again. Keep us posted on your recovery - may it be rapid and easy.

Praying for you, Laura! I'd be pretty crabby myself if it was me! I always get crabby when I'm nervous or scared.

Looks like Jadyn will keep you laughing tho! She's such a dolly and funny, too!:)
take care,
hollym.
