I am happy to report that I am indeed home and doing well.
Some of you may have already seen some postings on Facebook. My husband was posting to my wall, letting others know when I was out of surgery, etc. If anyone thought I was Superwoman, and posting to FB from the recovery room -- well I'm just not quite that talented. :)
I want to thank everyone for the prayers and good thoughts you've been sending. Here is a HUGE THANK YOU, and a hug. It meant the world to me, knowing that family and friends were praying.
My surgery went very well, took a little longer than expected, but no complications. For me, it seemed like it lasted about 5 minutes. Hooray, for the anesthesia and procedure that I was so scared about. That was the easiest part of the whole process.
After surgery was rough, I couldn't keep anything down until the next day. AND -Who can get any sleep in a hospital at night? What a long night that was, with all the constant comings and goings of staff. They were just doing their job keeping a good eye on me, but I just wanted to sleep. The pain was tolerable, once we got it under control. Honestly, the nausea was way worse than the pain.
We came home on Tuesday afternoon. I was slightly nervous about it. It's very great to be home though, and Alan is taking very good care of me.
I'm as weak as a kitten, and having a little pain and issues. But this too shall pass. I am WAY GLAD that my surgery is over! Now, to be a good girl and take it easy. Tummy incisions just naturally make you take it easy. LOL. I won't be doing much for a while.
Thanks again for your sweet comments, prayers, etc. You're the best!
