Thank You, Friends!

It's been a long couple of weeks here at our abode, and this week isn't even half over. I will not be counting these weeks among my favorites.

You may remember that Jadyn was pretty sick last week. I woke up on Sunday with this same illness. Not good. Now I definitely realize why she was so sick. This lovely illness includes body aches, throat pain, fever, and now my eyes are involved. I'm even beginning to think that having a tonsil removed could be a good thing. Just get it out of my throat!

You know a person is in pain when they're thinking that having a tonsil removed could bring relief. I know that would bring it's own set of problems. I do just want to remove the offensive thing though.

So Jadyn was sick, now I'm sick, and I had a pretty bad case of cabin fever last week. All of these are not a good combination. So that's why I've been a bit absent from the blog. This too shall pass. Thank goodness for the inventors of Advil. They are my heroes at the moment.

Two of my friends have made my day recently. They've given me awards, and I appreciate it so much. Besides, it gives me something else to blog about, other than my own woes.

Lea has given me the Friend's Love award. Lea is a very kind and thoughtful person and her friendship is a blessing. Lea is always there with kindness and support. Thank you so much Lea! It's a joy to count you among friends.

Jean has given me the Your Blog Is Fabulous award. I so appreciate this award too. It's always great to know that folks are enjoying what they're reading here. Thank you so much Jean! Jean is my friend from our playgroup and has such a sweet heart.
I'm to pass along these awards to several others, but I am just going to pass the Friends Love award along to one, since I'm not really feeling up to snuff. Ever heard that expression before?
I'm giving the Friend's Love award to Nancy. Nancy is also one of my friends from our playgroup. Nancy is a very sweet person and I love her sense of humor. Nancy started her blog this past fall. Stop by for a visit at Do Dogs Have Belly Buttons?
For the Your Blog Is Fabulous award, I am supposed to list 5 of my fabulous addictions. That's something I can do pretty quick.
Among many things that I love, I'll list:
1. Diet Coke w/Lime
2. coffee
3. reading
4. time at the computer
5. time with family
We had time between bouts of illness to attend a couple of Chinese New Year activities on Friday and Saturday. One of these days I'll add photos.
Have a great week!

Oh, it is no fun to be sick. I hope you both are doing better soon.

I like your addiction list! I am with you on everything except coffee. Never could acquire the taste. :-)

I'm sorry you've been sick and hope you're feeling better soon. This seems to be the sick time of year. Love your addictions Laura.

Take care of yourself please!

I am a diet coke with lime person too! I knew we where meant to be friends. Honestly you are too kind but I must admit that you have made my day!

Seriously though, I am so sorry you have been ill. bill has had the same thing and I know it is a nasty one.

As far as the cabin fever, I hear you on that one. The funny thing is though, I really don't want to go out much as it is so darn/damn cold.

Have a great day my friend.

Laura, thank you so much for the Friend's Love award, that is so sweet. With you having been ill and having cabin fever, it sounds like some of us need to do a girl's night out somewhere nice, or maybe do some pampering? I'm just trying to get through the Chinese New Year festival right now..and then I'll need to have some fun!
