It's been a good weekend! We continue to get well here at our home. Eye drops every 3 hours is working.
We were able to spend time with family over the weekend, sharing a couple of meals. I do have to say that they may or may not have been slightly nervous on Friday night. Wouldn't you be nervous to be with 2 people with frighteningly red and weepy eyes?
While we were at dinner on Friday night, Jadyn said something pretty funny.
We were at a pizza place and there were a couple of TVs. An infomercial came on, with the guy who made OxiClean, Kaboom, Orange Glo and all of those other products famous. I'm sure you've all seen him.
He is currently advertising the Big City Slider Station. It makes four of those tiny hamburgers at once. Jadyn is quite familiar with this commercial and she likes to watch it.
I tried to get her to tell us the name of the product being advertised. She said, "Well I don't know the name of it, but his name is Billy Mays."
Lauryn and I just about fell out of our chairs laughing.
Another Jadyn funny:
We went to our local FCC's Chinese New Year festival this afternoon after lunch. I forgot to bring the address and directions.
We tried to drive to it, but didn't quite find it. Alan decided to stop and look it up on his Blackberry. The GPS gave us the route, we started out again, and Jadyn said, "Mom...Dad's Blackberry will tell us how to get there!"
She's a funny kid.
I'll have to post pictures of the CNY festival tomorrow.
