Make Something Monday is hosted by Go Graham Go and Jolly Mom. Today, I'm sharing a recipe for chili that our family enjoys. I've been making it for a few years now. It's a recipe that I originally received at a Weight Watchers meeting. So the good news is that it's healthy, low in fat and high in fiber. We love it, and it's very good leftover as well. It's a very easy recipe and you can have it ready quickly.
1 lb. lean ground turkey
2 cans light kidney beans
1 can chili beans with sauce
4 cans diced tomatoes
1 cup chopped onion
3 Tablespoons chili powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
In a large soup pot or dutch oven: Brown the turkey and onion. Drain the meat mixture if needed. Add all of the canned ingredients, no need to drain them. Add the spices and salt. Simmer for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Makes 12 cups
I'm linking with Diana, at Diana Rambles today. She's shared an easy way to make panini sandwiches. You know your George Foreman grill is getting dusty. :)

Great recipe. We are having chili for dinner tonight. Thanks for participating. The people who host this didn't even put a Mr. Linky on their blog. I love clicking it and seeing who else participated. There are some clever ideas out there!
That looks good. I've been thinking I should make some chili for these really cold days we've been having. I love putting my chili on spaghetti and topping with cheese.

Bill eats no red meat. I eat little so I am always looking for these kinds of recipes.
Sounds good! Plus, we love panini sandwiches!
